Capabilities Overview

DevOps Genie capabilities fall into two categories: cloud-only capabilities that work after you connect a cloud account, and agent-powered capabilities that require the DevOps Genie Agent.

Capabilities at a glance

CapabilityWhat it doesRequirements
Cloud Resource ScanningFinds resource misconfigurations across connected clouds. One connected cloud account.

Cloud-only capabilities (no agent required)

Cloud-only capabilities run from the hosted platform using the cloud account access you configure in Cloud Accounts.

Cloud Resource Scanning

Scans AWS, GCP, and Azure resource configuration and produces security findings with severity, resource context, and remediation guidance.

Compliance and Security Audit

Calculates framework posture from scan results and lets teams drill into failing controls.

Agent-required capabilities

Agent-powered capabilities require the DevOps Genie Agent. Pull-request based workflows also require VCS credentials and repository URLs.

Terraform Code Generation

Generates Terraform for existing or requested infrastructure and opens a pull request in your infrastructure repository.

Kubernetes Application Deployment

Generates Kubernetes manifests and deployment changes for review.

CI/CD Pipeline Generation

Generates CI/CD pipeline files based on repository context and your requested outcome.

Cost Analysis and Optimization

Finds potential savings and can propose reviewable infrastructure changes.
